Sierra HOPE's Hand Up Education & Fundraising Campaign
A car is not a home
Imagine living out of your car, a place that was once a symbol of freedom and adventure, now reduced to a makeshift shelter. The relentless struggle to find a safe parking spot each night, the discomfort of contorting your body to rest, and the constant fear of being discovered are just a few of the daily challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness. The absence of a stable roof over their heads denies them the basic human right of safety and security.
As Sierra Hope strives address this heartbreaking reality, we urge you to join our cause in supporting our homeless prevention initiatives. Together, we can provide crucial resources, support services, and affordable housing solutions, empowering those in need to reclaim their lives and find hope once more.
In the first study of its kind conducted recently in Santa Clara, people were 81% less likely to be homeless within six months after receiving financial aid through the Santa Clara County Homelessness Prevention System. Similarly, people who receive emergency financial assistance from Sierra Hope are less likely to become homeless.
When our financial assistance contract runs out, we can’t help. Your generous donation can be the turning point for those living on the edge, offering a lifeline to a brighter and more secure future. Stand with us and make a difference today. Give the gift of hope and change a life forever.

PS: According to the study, which was published earlier this year in The Review of Economics and Statistics, communities get $2.47 in benefits for every dollar they spend on emergency financial assistance.
